Bringing a Product Vision to Life with CGI for Jones Snowboards.
OVERVIEW
When launching a new product, first impressions matter. The FASE Bindings project was all about turning engineering data into compelling, high-end visuals that could drive an entire marketing campaign. Partnering with Nidecker Group’s snowboard brands, including Jones Snowboards and 32 Boots & Bindings, we took their technical 2D CAD files and transformed them into photorealistic 3D renders—creating a full suite of website, print, and social media assets for their product launch.

By leveraging CGI, FASE Bindings was able to market their product before physical prototypes were even available, ensuring a seamless go-to-market strategy that made an instant impact in the snowboarding industry.

At Profanity Creative, we follow a three-phase process to turn flat concepts into hyper-realistic, market-ready imagery that sells. Here’s how we did it:
CONCEPT & STRATEGY
Before we started building assets, we needed to understand the product inside and out. We worked closely with the FASE Bindings team to analyze their technical CAD files, sketches, and product specs, ensuring every element of the bindings—from the highbacks to the buckles—was modeled with absolute accuracy.

CGI isn’t just about making things look good—it’s about creating visuals that tell a story. During this phase, we:
• Defined the visual style to match the brand’s premium aesthetic.
• Planned for different marketing applications (website, print, social, etc.).
• Determined lighting, angles, and materials to enhance realism.

This early strategy work set the foundation for a product that would feel tangible and desirable, even before manufacturing began.
PRODUCTION & RENDERING
With a clear direction in place, it was time to build. Using the provided CAD data and technical drawings, we meticulously reconstructed the bindings in high-fidelity 3D, ensuring every detail was true to the real-world product.

Once the geometry was finalized, we:
• Refined surface details to achieve realism, from plastic textures to metal buckles.
• Applied physically accurate materials and shaders to capture how light interacts with each component.
• Created multiple product variations to showcase different colorways and configurations.
• Set up high-end lighting & rendering for stunning, photorealistic results.

The beauty of CGI is control—we could tweak materials, adjust lighting, and perfect every aspect long before the first production model was made. This flexibility saved time and cost, allowing the marketing team to work without waiting for physical samples.
REFINEMENT & DELIVERY
The final renders weren’t just pretty pictures—they became the foundation of the entire product launch campaign. We delivered a suite of high-resolution CGI assets tailored for:

2. Print materials & trade show graphics
3. Social media campaigns & digital ads

These photorealistic renders allowed FASE Bindings to showcase their product in premium detail across all platforms, generating hype before the bindings even hit the market.
